Enter the 2nd Annual Live your Dream Art Contest!

Throughout the world, amazing women work hard every day to help their families, their communities and the world.

This year, Soroptimist invites boy and girl students, from ages 4 to 18, to draw a present-day woman who inspires them. She can be someone the student knows personally, or a prominent woman he or she admires.

If chosen as a finalist, your artwork will be viewed by thousands on the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Campaign website at LiveYourDreamCampaign.org.

In addition, you’ll also be eligible to win a cash prize for you and your school.

Entries must be received by December 31, 2009.
Check out www.LiveYourDreamCampaign.org for the official rules.

Good luck, and happy drawing!

September 2009

Soroptimist International of Eureka would like to thank you for your continued
support over the past twelve years in making our Annual Women's Health Fair a
success. Unfortunately due to scheduling conflicts we have to cancel this years
Health Fair, originally scheduled for October 17th. When we first started we were
one of the only few health fairs in the area and we have helped hundred of women in
our local community and surrounding areas. Over the years, there have been many
other health fairs that have formed; we'd like to think it's because
they saw how much fun we were having with ours and how many people we were serving.
We are unsure as to whether or not we will host a health fair in 2010, we will
evaluate the need next club year. We are saddened not to be hosting our health fair
this year, but see this as a chance to possibly go in a new direction and uncover
additional needs in our community. Thank you again to all past attendees and
vendors! You have helped to make a difference in women's lives. We are
pleased to refer attendees and vendors to Mad River Hospital's Health Fair on
Oct 10 and Redwood Memorial Hospital Health Fair on Oct 3. Both events will offer
low cost health screenings and information.
